This 3-day Yin Yoga & Meditation Intensive is suitable for yogis that have foundation in yoga and wish to go deeper. Gaining understanding and experience into what meditation is and therefore the purpose of yoga. This supportive balance between theory and practice shall inspire you into a greater state of inner harmony. There will be a lecture and questions period, grasping some of the non dual teachings of the great sage Ramana Maharishi , along with insights from Tibetan Buddhism. The Asana portion of our class with Yin Yoga – also known as Daoism Yoga – will deepen your awareness of the insights (knowledge) received through the experience of holding asana’ s for a longer duration. You will be given specific tasks to do outside the workshop hours, as a supportive means of integration – to assist in developing perception, becoming more mindful and able to cultivate this innate state of inner-harmony.

This week retreat will bring, mind body and soul into an all inspired state, whereby one can integrate the tools obtained into the everyday life. Gaining a deepened experience of what Yoga is and how it really works from the gross physical to the subtle energetic aspects. Kamadevi an expert Yoga Teacher and Artist, has designed this wellness program and will be a catalyst in supporting you through inner-transformations and discoveries of your fullest potentials.

The Chakras are energy centers within our astral body, which when balanced bring about health and harmony within mind, body and soul. The Chakra System dates back to Vedic traditions and has been an integral part of Yogic teachings for the past 5000 years. Everyday all Chakras are explored in an integral way with a focus on one Chakra to bring about a deepened awareness, self-clarification and balance.

The first 5 Chakras are connected to the 5 elements, as we are surrounded by nature our Yoga practice and daily activities are working in synergy with the earth, waters, fire, air and space. With meditation, sound-therapy / chanting, focused discussions and intention, bodywork, dance and joyous activities. This is a holistic journey for those who want to return home with practical and knowledgeable tools, be recharged, inspired, centered, deeply rested and harmonized from the source of your Being.

Food, each day the food menu will be corresponding with the chakra focus of the day. In this way one can discover the variety of wholesome nutrients that work on establishing different energetic responses. With as much organic, super food based products, and the tropical delight of coconut water one is certain to be refreshed and restored.

Adapted for all levels beginners, intermediate and advanced.

THE DAILY SCHEDULE (5 hours of practice a day: 7h30 -10am / 3h30-6pm)

You are free to approach the week as rigorously or as casually as you wish. Whether you’re inspired to study or relax in your free time is your choice. Therefore all other activities and suggested inner-work offered are not compulsory. 

7h30 -10am YOGA PRACTICE 
Meditation and set intention in correspondence to the chakra focus of the day, Hatha Yoga: sun- salutation, postures (asanas) breath work (pranayama) and shavasana (final relaxation). 

Free time – healthy chakra food delights and juices. Integration of the morning practice, be mesmerized on the beach or enjoy the soothing saltwater pool, have a massage, discover Indians heart-opening culture. 

In-depth Satsang (discussion) / Jnana yoga (wisdom, knowledge), to discover the chakra of the day with question period. The bodywork and meditation vary each day in accord to the chakra focus, example 1st Muladhara Chakra; walking meditation, whereby the 5th Vishuddha Chakra; Yoga Nidra… Followed by immersion & integration for chakra harmonizing and relaxation. 

Sunset gazing or stargazing, self-reflection time writing or working with affirmations / suggestions for personal initiative, OR PRACTICE NOTHINGNESS!



The Root Chakra – Muladhara 

The muladhara or root chakra is associated with fulfillment of basic needs, physical survival and safety. It is also related to the sense of belonging – belonging to a clan, tribe, ethnic group or some other group.

The Sacral Chakra – SVADISTHANA
The svadisthana or sacral chakra is associated with family, sexuality, creativity and the basic instincts. Our desires, passions and imagination are expressed through this chakra. Many of our core beliefs are held or formed here.

The Solar Plexus Chakra – MANIPURA
The manipura or solar plexus chakra is the center of will and personal power. Our confidence and self-esteem reside here. It’s through the solar plexus that we see ourselves as individuals and feel self-assured. The solar plexus is related to the ego.

The Heart Chakra – ANAHATA
The anahata or heart chakra is our essence of love; the love for the self and for others. It reflects our relationships, affection, compassion, acceptance, kindness and trust. Being open to give and receive, are the characteristics of people with vital or balanced heart chakras.

The Throat Chakra – VISHUDDHA
The vishuddha or throat chakra is associated with speech and communication. That of our personal and spiritual truth, along with being receptive to hearing others expression. The quality of a quick and deep intelligence, artistic nature and a sense of purity are present.

Third Eye Chakra – AJNA
The ajna or third eye chakra is associated with intuition, visualization and perception. It is related to our openness and ability to learn from experience and integrate the ideas of others. Ajna is the center of both conscious and subconscious beliefs, and is a window into non-ordinary reality.

The Crown Chakra – SAHASRARA
The sahasrara or seventh chakra is the gateway to the subconscious, with connection to the greater universe or universal energy it is the seat of one’s spirituality. The crown chakra is associated to out of body phenomena’s and mystical experiences.
